Childhood Memories

Last I went on a walk with my mom
This gave a chance to explore the neighborhood

There’s the house where I hid under the porch
I remember ding dong and not ditching that house
I can see the tree where I had my first between the houses

I wonder if the people with the labs still live there
There’s the group of trees where we started a club based off of what we saw in Calvin and Hobbs
I wonder if the man with the tractor still lives there

I remember coming back from Casey’s and sitting in the Lord’s driveway eating snacks
I wonder if the man who works for Homeland Security still lives there
There’s the home with the treehouse
Look there’s the lady with her two cats

I used to think people who went on walks around the neighborhood were silly
Now I like walks because I get to relive childhood memories
